Coombe House

Coombe House is a wildly romantic Grade 1 Elizabethan Manor set in 3,500 acres of one of Devon’s finest country estates, close to the sea for long coastal walks. Beautiful Arabian horses and pheasants roam freely as you approach Combe House along a mile of winding drive. This charming historic luxury English country house hotel lies in Gittisham, the film location for a Rosamunde Pilcher novel and described by Prince Charles as the “Ideal English Village” with its pretty Devon cob and thatch cottages.

We adore the intricate yet rustic beauty of this gorgeous place, we love the walled gardens and we love the Linen Suite as a gorgeous place for a wedding party to prepare for the big day ahead. The team at Coombe House have also been exceptionally friendly and helpful to us whenever we’ve had the honour of being there.
